Esports State Championship! Jorge Martinez, Cade Drake, and Jahir Gutierrez-Rodriguez finished their season 13-1. They played for the state championship on April 15th at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford and came up just short of an undefeated season with a loss to The Texhoma Red Devils in the championship match. This makes Guymon Tigers Esports' first state tournament placement since it began last year. The Super Smash Bros Ultimate team ended its season ranked #5 in the state. Guymon High School

Students in Mrs. Joy’s 8th grade Pre Algebra class used Cheez-It crackers to model the Pythagorean Theorem. They found that the number of Cheez-its needed to
cover the area of square C was the same as the number needed to
cover the areas of squares a and b combined. So, the square of the
hypotenuse was equal to the sum of the squares of both legs. Thank you to those who helped purchase the cheez-its!
